
IHG and Kimpton Rewards Programs Set to Merge
nterContinental Hotels Group will bring Kimpton Karma Rewards members into its IHG Rewards Club starting next year.Kimpton Karma Rewards is the loyalty program for Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, which IHG acquired in early 2015. Kimpton is known as a boutique brand with an emphasis on its dining options, free nightly wine hour, and customized decor with whimsical bathrobes in each room.
Starting in early 2018, Kimpton Karma Rewards will become part of IHG Rewards Club, which means that members of both clubs will have access to a single reward point system.

Delta Shows Off New 'Flagship" Airbus A350 in Atlanta
Delta Air Lines showed off its newest aircraft Tuesday, offering an up-close look of a jet that the carrier says will become its new “flagship” aircraft for international service.
Delta’s first Airbus A350 widebody doesn't begin commercial passenger service until Oct. 30, which is when it will debut on the airline’s route between Detroit and Tokyo Narita. But the carrier gave a preview of the plane to the media on Tuesday, allowing access to the plane amid a broader media event touting the A350.

Chicago's Midway Airport Now in Line for Automated Screening Lanes
Chicago's second airport, Midway International Airport, is getting what O'Hare International Airport already has — speedier automated Transportation Security Administration checkpoint lanes.
A TSA spokesman confirmed today that new system will go live at Midway "this fall" — but declined to name an exact date when the new system would be in operation.
Still, the TSA is likely to have the new screening equipment up and running well before the start of the always-busy Thanksgiving holiday travel period.
